Due to a trademark violation we had to change our Birth Rite Midwifery name. We decided to return to our original name, Home Birth Utah.
Home Birth Utah midwife Marci Roundy CNM focuses on all stages of a woman’s life cycles. She specializes in prenatal care, water birth, newborn care and women’s health care.
As a Certified Nurse Midwife, I treat common concerns such as irregular bleeding, yearly well woman exams, contraception and common illnesses such as urinary tract infections, strep throat, and more. I can prescribe medications, write orders for ultrasounds and other procedures when needed.
Most certified nurse midwives chose to work in the hospital, but my heart and soul is in the natural, physiologic, intimate, and sacred out-of-hospital environment. Although some may believe that birth is safer in the hospital, I believe that birth is safer out of the hospital for low risk women.
Each prenatal visit is an eligibility visit. You and your baby are monitored with mutual consent, respect, and trust for the process of your sacred journey. If problems arise during your pregnancy I care for you the same way a hospital midwife cares for you. The difference is that I spend time discussing with you the “what, why, where, when, and what if” questions you may have concerning the situation.
Each prenatal visit lasts 30 to 45 minutes. By the time you have your baby and the sad 6 week follow up appointment arrives, it is not uncommon for us to share some tears as we say farewell for now.
Marci has a natural ability to calm the air around her. This coupled with her hard work and training made her an ideal attendant for my birth. ”
Ian, Kelli and baby Cylus
My partner and the women of Birth Rite Midwifery welcomed a place in me I didn’t know existed. A place where a woman can do anything she sets her mind to, a place where a woman can have exactly the birth she imagined.
My husband also felt welcome and a part of the circle created by the women of Birth Rite Midwifery. The space held by Marci and her team was unforgettable.
Our “Open House” Baby
On the day, Brickyard Birth had their open house, Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 1-3 pm, Marci Roundy came to our home to deliver our precious little girl Alice! This is another testament to Marci springing into action on her very important day as well as ours! Our family is so thankful and grateful for your quick response and professionalism! We wish you continued success!
The Fuentes Family
I was a client with Marci for my second baby, who was born 7 weeks ago. I loved working with her through the entire pregnancy. She devoted so much time to me at every appointment that I consider her my friend even more than my healthcare provider. Marci is very thorough and conscientious in her care, telling me what my options were every step of the way.
I especially loved my labor experience, which was helped a lot by Marci's knowledge of pressure points to help release some of the nerve pain I was having. The attention she devoted to my family made the labor much easier, something hospitals just can't offer. I plan to work with Marci for any other pregnancies I may have.

Marci Roundy- You ladies were amazing! The spirit of the birthing center was SO inviting, warm, and peaceful. You walk in and are blown away by at how absolutely gorgeous this center and the midwives were. The peace and energy was so amazing, and working alongside women who have the same passion and love for birth as I do, was such an honor. These cute ladies were waiting there to welcome us so warmly, it was neat. They were so amazing and definitely know their stuff. Loved it!
